Previous Plans

In 2003 VicRoads put forward a draft plan to build cross-over bridges at Sunshine Avenue; extend and duplicate Kings Road from Melton-Sydenham Road all the way to provide new and additional access to the freeway proper; and build a cross over at Calder Park Drive. Although this plan is now out of date since the construction of new BP service centres on both sides of the Calder Freeway near Holden Road, No new plans or studies have been carried out since. The original VicRoads plan is shown below. It should be noted that it was never intended that the current access (no matter how limited) from Robertsons Road to the Calder Freeway be permanent. It was originally intended that Robertsons Road be a "no through road".
